The yellow, red and ocher tones of the vineyards in autumn take over the landscape of the fields in the Utiel – Requena. Wine is today one of the axes of the area and sightseeing reason: the grape harvest festivals, the Wine Museum (Requena), the old urban cellars dug in the ground. But history has also left in the towns of Requena and Utiel monuments and urban patchwork of Muslim, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque flavor. Both cities deserve sedate walk, after which enjoy the rich local cuisine. The natural attractions are also first-order: peak Tejo and interesting vegetation; Sinarcas pine forests, the river Cabriel and its “Hoces del Cabriel” Natural Park, etc. It is a valuable habitat for riparian vegetation and numerous protected wildlife. Some of the places of interest are the knives Fuenseca (climbing area), the valley of Fuenseca or meanders known as “Las Hoces”.
